Today’s game shows that the English-only games lineup is no longer limited to Nintendo games, with a new line of Japanese-themed games set to launch in 2019.
While it’s still unclear how many Japanese-exclusive titles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, Eurogamer’s Sam Machkovech says the new line will include a number of new games that aren’t in the main line.
Among the new games, Eurogamers can expect the likes of Nioh, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Monster Jam, Fire Emblem Heroes, and other titles not on the main Nintendo platforms.
While it’s likely that Nintendo will announce the full lineup of Japanese games in 2019, Eurogames has identified the first Japanese-language titles that will be available in 2019 as: The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Persona 5: Burst Battle.
Of course, Nintendo also announced in November that it will be releasing more than 60 titles in the next fiscal year, including a number that were previously exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
